Dresser Actaris MZ BioGas turbine

The Dresser Actaris Gas (previosuly Itron) MZ PTFE Turbine meter is a variant of the standard MZ gas turbine meter with additional features to cope with the aggressive nature of biogas. The flow of gas turns the turbine wheel, and thus the rotating speed of the turbine is proportional to the linear speed of the gas.

This specific version of MZ, being dedicated for measuring aggressive gases such as biogas has been reinforced to increase the lifetime of the meter. The MZ-PTFE utilises a special high resistant magnetic coupling to drive the turbine, has an internally PTFE coated body and features an external oil pump for increased longevity.

The MZ features a range of output options with two low resolution pulse outputs fitted as standard along with the option of the unique CYBLE smart output (which can provide pulse, radio or mbus communications). The MZ also offers a High-Resolution Output option in the form of the HF3 and is fully equipped to interface directly to our Actaris Corus gas volume corrector for corrected mass measurement.
